I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m mom to 2 wild, barefoot boys who rarely sit still long enough for me to take their photos… but it doesn’t stop me from chasing their joy with a camera in hand! I want to capture their personalities and details at every stage of their life. Stick around long enough and you’ll see snippets of them on my social media. I graduated from Creighton in 2014 and moved outside the metro shortly after. I love any chance to wander the Old Market, see a musical, or go on a coffee or sushi date.

My photography journey started in high school, but it wasn’t until my first son was born that I picked up my camera with purpose. I quickly fell in love with capturing tiny details, genuine laughter, and the kind of emotion that lives in the in-between moments.

Claire Petersen Photography was born after a few senior sessions lit a creative fire I couldn’t ignore. There’s just something magical about senior portraits, the one-on-one time to connect, build confidence, and capture who you are right now, in all your shine. I’m your built-in hype girl, posing coach, and biggest fan from start to finish. As someone who didn’t have the traditional senior picture experience, I’ve spent the last 4 years giving seniors the spotlight they deserve, and have made it my mission to make each of my seniors feel confident and important!
